DIRECTOR

Rory Pierce studied Composition for four years at The Royal Academy Of Music London, followed by an MA in Composing For Film and Television at Kingston University London.
He has worked as a professional composer, performer, producer and educator for over 20 years. As a composer, he’s written original music for feature films, shorts, documentaries, TV shows, dance performances, theatre and radio. Alongside this, he’s been commissioned to write concert hall music for choirs, orchestras and ensembles, as well as a stream of commercial work for TV and radio.
As a performer, he created Cuillin Music with
Martyn Bennett, touring the world extensively. Also an accomplished cellist, he’s performed, toured and recorded with many artists, including The Divine Comedy and the Hibernian Orchestra. He is currently performing in the multi-award winning Grit Orchestra Project with some of the finest musicians in the UK, as well as working in California with some of the Grammy award winning musicians in the greater Big Sur community. He also is the director of the Iona Sound Trio.


As an educator, he has been central to the creation of some of the most exciting music-writing courses in Dublin, at modern music institutions such as
BIMM, Pulse College and Griffith College Dublin.

CREATIVE ADVISOR

Cian Boylan has over twenty years experience as a professional session pianist, producer, composer and arranger.
Recent concert and album arrangements include the arrangements and orchestrations for the
Irish Chamber Orchestra for Feile Classical in Semple Stadium which reached number 1 on the Top 100 Irish Album Charts in 2018 . He also produced and arranged “Homeward Bound” for the Street Lights Album which also reached number 1 in the Top 100 Irish Single Charts in 2018. The song featured a host of stars including Snow Patrol, Bono, The Villagers, Saint Sister, Little Green Cars, Cathy Davey, Loah, Roisin O, Galia Arad, and Bell X1.
Recent Film and TV composing and arranging work include Golden Bear nominee RETURN TO MONTAUK starring Stellan Skarsgard and Nina Hoss by Oscar Winning director Volker Schondorf, Oscar Nominated THE LOBSTER featuring Colin Farrell, Rachel Weitz, and John C. Reilly, Bafta Award-winning of Amazon Prime/BBC TV Series RIPPER STREET (Seasons 2 to 5) starring Matthew MacFayden, Discover Channel's HARLEY & THE DAVIDSONS starring Dougray Scott, the RTE/BBC series CAN'T COPE WON'T COPE and the upcoming feature LAST RIGHTS featuring Michel Huisman.
His arrangements have been performed by the
RTE Concert Orchestra, The Sofia National Orchestra, Ulster Orchestra, Irish Chamber Orchestra, Dublin City Jazz Orchestra, Camden Orchestra, San Diego Brass Ensemble amongst many others.
He has performed in many prestigious venues and concert halls around the world, including Europe, USA, Russia, China, Japan, South America and the Middle East.

SONGWRITING DIRECTOR

Max Greenwood is a songwriter and Piano Player. Max has released recorded work under his own name and has collaborated with a range of artists. Successful co-writes include the top-ten song These Are The Days from Jamie Cullum’s multi-Platinum album Twentysomthing (2003).
Recent releases include Max’s solo piano Eps Iris and Fern.
Current projects include new original songs in pre-production, live shows with the folk trio
Iona Sound, and ongoing development in Education.

Originally from Yorkshire, Max grew up in Nottingham and London and in 2005 moved to Dublin, Ireland.
In 2003 Max founded SongRise, an educational opportunity for 7-11 yr olds to work with professional songwriters to write, perform and record original material on ecological themes at
The Premises Studios in Hackney. Max is currently a 3rd level Songwriting Tutor and Technology Enhanced Learning Coordinator at Dublin’s BIMM Institute.

CREATIVE DIRECTOR LONDON

Max Wilson is a composer and producer with two decades of experience writing for theatre, tv, film and the concert hall. As well as creating music and sound design for theatre companies including The European Arts Theatre, Hampstead Theatre, The National Youth Theatre, EmpathEyes Theatre and Baraka Theatre, his music has been synced to many television productions and documentaries including BBC Horizon, BBC Natural World, Top Gear, Sky Box Office, Ghost Whisperer and America's Most Wanted. He has produced for and assisted other songwriters and composers, working most recently in the music department for the 2018 film, Nancy, as assistant to composer Peter Raeburn. In addition to this, Max has written string arrangements for bands and worked as session pianist for several artists including Cathal Smyth (Chas Smash from the ska band, Madness).  ​Max's concert works have been performed at concert platforms including the Huddersfield Festival; The South Bank Centre; De Doelen, Rotterdam and Kunstmuseum, Liechtenstein, with commercial recordings and broadcasts across Europe.​
